The Ancient Prophecy

of The 8th Day

The Story of Redemption in the Ancient Tabernacle

Priesthood, Sacrifices and Feast Days

compiled by Rachel Cory-Kuehl 2010

Scripture is from the NKJV unless otherwise noted

THE PLAN WAS REVEALED

To Israel belong “the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises . . .”(Rom 9:4). Yes! The LORD chose Israel to be His messengers. He entered into a covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and then with Jacob - whose name was changed to Israel. Years later, the LORD entered into a covenant with the “Children of Israel.” Why? They were no more worthy or special than any other people.

They were simply a people chosen for a purpose. The LORD had a prophecy to reveal - an acted prophecy. He would reveal His plan for the redemption of mankind - all acted out in the ceremonies and the appointed Feast days of the Tabernacle. He clearly stated the terms of His covenant - His law. He would richly bless Israel for the role they would play in preserving this prophecy and this example for mankind, but only if they remained faithful.

The ancient Tabernacle of the LORD, its services and ceremonies - all revealed the LORD’s plan for the rescue of those who would enter into covenant with Him. The lamb sacrificed for sin, foreshadowed the Lamb of God. The grain offering, the wine poured out, the anointing oil - all revealed Messiah to come. The high priest acting his part in the earthly Temple, portrayed the future role of Christ, our High Priest now ministering in Heaven above (The Book of Hebrews). Day after day, year after year - priests and citizens acted out the prophecy.

In the cycle of appointed feast days, Sabbaths, planting years and Jubilees - the plan was foretold. At the end of this study is a list of resources for those who wish to study more deeply into the ancient Tabernacle of Israel, the ceremonies and the feast days. Just now I want to focus on one aspect of that revelation - “the 8th day.”

PRESENTED TO THE LORD

Exodus 22:30 Firstborn males were presented to the LORD on the 8th day - a reminder of the Israel’s deliverance when the firstborn of Egypt perished.

The firstborn of clean domestic animals were to remain with their mothers for 7 days. On the 8th day, they became acceptable for sacrifice. Human infant males were to be redeemed with money (Exo 13:13,15). The word “redeem” means to buy back. Our Redeemer - Christ Jesus, paid “the redemption price” to buy us back from certain death.

What does this symbolism tell us about our future, as God’s firstborn? When will collective Israel redeemed, be presented to God the Father? Answer: at the 8th Day.

Exodus 4:22 Israel is my son, my firstborn.”

Every faithful believer is an Israelite, “grafted in.” See our study “Who are Israel?

We are collectively Israel - the firstborn (Heb. 12:23). We are firstborn “in Christ,” and under Christ - THE Firstborn of God, and High Priest over the House of God. Yeshua will present us to God His Father - as His perfect offering - restored, cleansed and healed - at the 8th Day.

1 Corinthians 15:24 “Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.”

    THIS IS THE PRESENTATION!!

We are His flock. We are Israel. We are the firstborn (Eph 2, Rom 11).

Question: When will we become acceptable - for presentation to God the Father?

Answer: On the 8th Day.

Leviticus 22:27 A newborn animal [firstborn or not] was to remain with its mother for 7 days. On the 8th day, the animal would become acceptable for presentation to the LORD.

The 8th day will be the 8th millennium.

“One day is with the Lord as a thousand years

and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3:8)

CIRCUMCISION

Question: When will we - newborn Israelites - be perfectly circumcised?

Answer: At the 8th day (Leviticus 12:3, Acts 7:8, Genesis 17:12).

Romans 2:29 “. . . circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.”

Physical circumcision was required of Abraham and his descendants, as “the sign of the covenant” (Gen 17:13-14). Circumcision was always performed at the 8th day from birth. That “sign” continued for three thousand years, until Christ replaced this blood sacrifice with circumcision “of the heart.” Paul certainly taught that physical circumcision was no longer required for citizenship within the greater “commonwealth of Israel”(Gal 5:1-6). The physical was a TYPE - a prophetic symbol, of the spiritual. The timing, on the 8th day from birth (Lev 12:3), was also a prophecy of what is to come - for all of Israel redeemed. See our study: “Circumcision - Under the New Covenant.”

From the hearts of those perfectly “circumcised” by Christ, every trace of selfish or defensive thinking will have been removed. I readily admit - along with every other sincere believer, that I am not yet perfectly “circumcised” in heart. The New Covenant promises the final and complete transformation of the heart. This will be fully accomplished at the 8th day - the 8th millennium.

Ezekiel 36:24-27 “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean. . . I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”

THIS IS THE PROMISED CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART!

THIS IS THE NEW COVENANT!

Notice WHERE New Covenant Israel will be, when our circumcision is fully realized.

That’s right! “In the land.” The New Covenant is NOT fully realized UNTIL all of Israel is safely returned to “the land” promised to Abraham’s Seed.

Abraham’s “seed” includes all of those “in Christ” (Gal 3:29). That seed - Israel redeemed, does not yet possess all of the land area promised. That land area covers some 1200 miles square (just right for the New Jerusalem to occupy).

The State of Israel today occupies only a tiny portion that land area. All of those who died in faith, are not yet there, “in the land.” Job and Daniel and Paul are not there. The anointed Son of David does not yet reign. Not yet.

For all these things we look to The 8th Day. Until then we have the promise - the “brideprice.” He has given us of His Spirit. It remains for the 8th Day, for the full and forever filling of His Spirit. That will be the consummation of the Lamb’s marriage to His “bride.” Then Christ will present the Kingdom He has won, to His Father (1Cor 15:24). The ancient commands to circumcise on the 8th day, and to present on the 8th day, were a prophecy of that future day.

HEALING

Question: When will we be fully clean?

    Answer: At the 8th day.

Leviticus Chapter 13: In the ancient Law of Israel, a seven day quarantine was required for infectious diseases, issues, and skin lesions. If the infection no longer remained after the 7 days of quarantine, sacrifices could then be offered on the 8th day. The Israelite could then be considered “clean.”

Leviticus 15:13-14 Any person with an abnormal discharge was separated from the camp. If the discharge ceased, the person was to remain separated for another 7 days (7 days post healing). On the 8th day the healed person could present a sin offering and a burnt offering and then could rejoin the camp.

Sin makes us unclean - like disease. We are currently in quarantine. According to the prophecy, will we not be fully healed and fully “clean,” until the 8th day - the 8th millennium.

LEPROSY - A SYMBOL OF SIN

Question: When will we lepers be declared fully clean?

Answer: On the 8th Day

Leviticus 14:10-32 The leper who was “healed of his leprosy” must present himself to the priest. The priest must go outside of the camp to see the leper (just as Christ left heaven for us). If the leprosy was no longer visibly present, then the leper must be ceremonially cleansed. That ceremonial cleansing would take seven days.

     On the first day:

        Cleansing procedure:

Take two living clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop.

Kill one bird (Christ) in an earthen vessel (human body),

             over running water (the Spirit).

Dip the living bird (Christ risen), the cedar, the scarlet, and the hyssop

             into the bloody water.

Sprinkle the healed leper 7 times, and pronounce him clean.

Release the live (blood dipped) bird (Christ risen).

The healed leper - now ceremonially “clean”- shall wash his clothes, shave off the hair from his body, and wash himself in water.

(This was the preparation to stand before God. We are baptized in water and we are “clothed” with Christ’s righteousness).

Then he may come into the congregation,

but he must remain outside His tent (the Tabernacle) seven days.

(We are not yet ready for Heaven itself - “the true Tabernacle.”)

On the seventh day of cleansing for the leper:

The person - now ceremonially “clean” - was to shave again, all the hair from his head. (Our bodies will be“changed in a moment.”)

He was to wash his clothes and wash his body in water (baptism of the Spirit)

and he shall be clean(cleaner).

(This is a process - we get cleaner and cleaner.)

On the eighth DAY of cleansing for the leper:

The now “clean” person was to present himself

at the door of the Tabernacle, “before the LORD.”

(We will stand on “the Sea of Glass” before the throne of God.)

He must bring two male lambs, and one ewe lamb of first year,

with flour, and oil.

The priest offers the sacrifices.

The priest then anoints the right ear, right thumb,

and right big toe of cleansed leper,

with blood from the sacrifices (the blood of Christ),

and with the oil (the Holy Spirit).

The remainder of the oil was poured upon the head of the healed and cleansed leper.

NOW - the healed leper may “enter His tent

(He may enter into the courtyard of the Tabernacle where sacrifices were offered).

PLEASE NOTE: Those to be consecrated as priests, were anointed in the same way!

                  (Exo. 29:20, Lev 8:23).

SYMBOLISM: We are healed lepers in the eyes of God, but we will become priests!

Only priests could entered inside “the tent” - the Tabernacle itself.

Only the redeemed will enter “heaven itself, the true Tabernacle” (Heb 8:1-2).

CONSECRATED AS PRIESTS

Exodus 19:5-6 “If you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then

. . . you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.

This is the LORD speaking to all Israel - before the golden calf rebellion.

The promise is repeated to New Testament believers (1 Pet 2:5, 9; Rev 20:6).

Question: When will we begin to minister as “priests of God and of Christ?”

Answer: At the 8th day.

The LORD’s desire (and original plan) was that the firstborn male of every tribe and clan, would become priests of His Tabernacle. But the “firstborn” priests led Israel in a rebellion, with the golden calf idol at its center (Exo Cpt 32). Only the Tribe of Levi, stood with Moses against the rebels who planned to lead Israel back to Egypt. That tribe was then appointed to “serve the Tabernacle.” Within that tribe, Aaron and his male descendants, were appointed as the priesthood. This was a change of the priesthood from the original - that of “the firstborn.” (Num 8:17-18).

The Levite/Aaronic priesthood continued UNTIL the death of Christ provided forgiveness for “the transgressions under the first covenant” (Heb 9:15). The LORD was then free to legally “change” the priesthood BACK to the original Order of Melchizedek - the priesthood of “the firstborn.” Jesus Christ is “the firstborn over all creation” (Col 1:15). He is therefore High Priest over the House of God. See our study “The Change of the Priesthood.”

CONSECRATION FOR THE PRIESTHOOD

Exodus Chapter 29:7-35 & Leviticus Chapter 8:

The LORD’s instruction to Moses concerning Aaron, his sons, and all future priests:

Seven days you shall consecrate them.”

Wash them with water, (baptism of the Holy Spirit)

then dress them in the white “priestly garments.”

Anoint the head of Aaron with oil (a symbol of the Holy Spirit).

Kill the sin offering, the whole burnt offering, and the ram of consecration.

Anoint the tip of the right ear, right thumb, and right big toe of each man.

Sprinkle some of the blood from the sacrifices (blood of Christ)

mixed with the oil (Holy Spirit), on Aaron, on his sons, and on their garments.

Remain at the door of the tent (Tabernacle) until the 8th Day.

Leviticus 8:33-36 “And you shall not go outside the door of the Tabernacle of meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are ended. For seven days he (Moses - a TYPE of Christ) shall consecrate you.”

We will remain within “the true Tabernacle - Heaven itself” (Heb 8:2, Heb 9:24). When the days of our consecration are ended, we (Israel redeemed) will return to the earth, to begin our ministry as “priests of God and of Christ” (Rev 20:6). Jesus Christ will be High Priest, because He is “THE firstborn, over all creation” (Col 1:15). We will minister as priests, to teach and govern “the nations” who will be resurrected as “the rest of the dead,” at the 8th millennium (Rev 20:5).

NOTE: Our ministry cannot begin at the 7th day - the upcoming 7th millennium.

NOTE: The ancient priestly candidates may have remained within the courtyard, not inside the first apartment of the covered tent. (See Lev. 12:4-6).

The priestly ministry began on the 8th day.

Leviticus 9:1-7 “It came to pass on the 8th day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons . . .” “Go to the altar, offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people.”

[After the sacrifices and the Aaronic blessing] “Then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people, and fire came out from before the LORD, and consumed the burnt offering” (Lev 9:23-24).

FULFILLMENT OF THIS ACTED PROPHECY

Aaron and his sons were individuals, consecrated for seven literal days. For the fulfillment we must view all of those to be consecrated as one priesthood - one collective group - Israel redeemed, to be consecrated for seven prophetic “days.” The consecration of this priesthood began with Adam nearly 6000 years ago. It will continue through the 7th millennium. At the 8th millennium (the 8th Day), the redeemed of Christ in immortal spiritual bodies, will begin to serve as “priests of God and of Christ.” Christ Himself will be our High Priest. We will serve as priests to govern and teach “the nations” who will be resurrected to “live again” at the 8th millennium as “the rest of the dead” (Rev 20:5-6).

STRANGE FIRE - ON THE 8TH DAY

This note is for you serious students of Scripture. On the very same day that Aaron and his sons began their ministry as priests, Nadab and Abihu (the two older sons of Aaron) entered the Tabernacle with “strange fire” in their censers. They carried live coals taken from an alter, or in a manner, not expressly commanded by the LORD. Possibly with incense made up of ingredients that were different from those especially commanded by the LORD, for the Tabernacle.

They rebelled against the LORD and against their Father Aaron, the High Priest. “Fire went out from the LORD and devoured them and they died.” This happened on the 8th day. The rebellion of Nadab and Abihu was the TYPE.

In the fulfillment, Israel redeemed will be consecrated to serve as “priests of God and of Christ” (Rev 20:6). We will begin this ministry at “the 8th day” (at the 8th millennium).

During this same “day” Satan will be loosed from the bottomless pit (Rev. 20:7). At this same time “the rest of the dead” will be resurrected as “nations in the four corners of the earth”(Rev 20:5-8). Put the pieces together.

Satan, the being who offered the original “strange fire” (seeking to occupy the place of God’s Son) will be cast into the “lake of fire” at the 8th Day, at the Battle of Gog-Magog (Rev 20:7-10).

      It fits!

NOTE: A counterfeit of that battle, will most likely take place in the final days of this age. It will be part of Satan’s plan to deceive the elect into believing that he is Christ come.

See our study: “Gog and Magog.”

EZEKIEL’S TEMPLE - Not ready until the 8th Day

The Alter of Sacrifice in the Courtyard was also to be sanctified for 7 days (Exo 29:37). In the days of Hezekiah the ceremonial cleansing and re-consecration of The Temple took seven days. It had been desecrated by the idolatry under King Ahaz (2Chron 29:17). Just so - Ezekiel’s Temple, will not be consecrated and ready, until The 8th Day - the 8th millennium (Ezek 43:27).

“Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” This Temple also, God’s Temple of His people (1Co 3:16) , will not be fully cleansed and fully consecrated until “the 8th Day.”

THE ASHES OF THE RED HEIFER

Question: When will we be cleansed from death?

Answer: On the 8th day.

Numbers 19:11-20 Anyone who had touched a dead body, or any part of a body, or bone of a human, was “unclean” in the sight of the LORD. He must be sprinkled with the “water of purification” which contained the ashes of the red heifer. He must be sprinkled on the third day and on the seventh day, by a “clean man.” At sundown of the 7th day he would then “be clean.”

The 8th day begins at sundown of the 7th day.

SYMBOLISM: Yeshua (Jesus) was the red heifer. His blood (the scarlet) is cleansing when applied by Yeshua himself (the “clean man”) using the water (Holy Spirit) and Hyssop (a symbol of cleansing through suffering).

During the 3rd millennium - the “third day,” the LORD made a promise covenant with Abraham concerning his “seed.” THE “Seed” of Abraham is Yeshua Messiah. All those who believe are children of Abraham “in Christ”(Gal 3:29).

It is interesting that the LORD commanded Abram to bring a heifer, as one of the animals to be sacrificed for that covenant ceremony (Gen 15:9). The ashes of the red heifer, would one day be used for ceremonial cleansing.

Four hundred thirty years later (to the day), the Children of Israel left Egypt at midnight on the 15th day of Nissan - after a meal of unleavened bread (Exo 12:41). The LORD entered into covenant with Abraham on the very night which would later see the Passover Meal - The Feast of Unleavened Bread.

During the 7th millennium, Yeshua will “sprinkle” us (cleanse us) while we spend a thousand years with Him in “the true Tabernacle - Heaven itself.” At the end of this 7th day - we (redeemed Israel) will be “clean” of the harmful effects of our life on this earth, where we have all “touched death.”

“With the LORD one day is as a thousand years,

and a thousand years as one day” (2 Peter 3:8)

ANCIENT PROPHETIC CYCLES

THE WEEKLY CYCLE

Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: . . . For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”

NOTE: There is no Scripture passage removing the blessing on the 7th day. That day was blessed at the end of creation week. It remained blessed at the time of Moses. It remains blessed in our day, and it will remain blessed for eternity in the Kingdom (Isa. 65:23).

Exodus 16:26 In the wilderness, no manna fell on the 7th day Sabbath.

SYMBOLISM: Jesus the Christ was the manna from Heaven (John 6:31-33). There can be no presence of Christ on the earth during the Sabbath of the (7th) millennium, just as no manna fell in the wilderness on the 7th day. The earth must rest, and desolation is rest (2 Chron 36:21) according to God’s prophet.

THE YEARLY CYCLE of FEAST DAYS - The plan foretold!

     In the Spring:

Passover - (Death of the Lamb) (Deliverance of Israel)

Feast of Unleavened Bread - (Yeshua, the Bread of Heaven was without sin.)

Firstfruits - (The Risen Christ was presented in Heaven before His Father.)

Pentecost - (The Spirit was poured out.

Christ began to write His Law on the hearts of Israel.)

      In the Fall:

Day of Trumpets - (Warnings of Judgment Day approaching)

Day of Atonement - (Judgment Day)

Feast of Tabernacles - (We will tabernacle with Him.)

See Leviticus Chapter 23 & Numbers Chapter 29.

Feast of Shemini Atzereth - (literally “Eighth Assembly”)

There are several very good books now available, which go into detail, explaining the prophetic feasts and their fulfillment. I have listed a few at the end of this study.

THE 8TH DAY - FOLLOWING THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

     Shemini Atzereth

In the 7th month, Israel was commanded to keep an ingathering feast - a celebration of the harvest. For 7 days they were to “dwell in booths(temporary shelters) to symbolize their wilderness wandering before entering the promised land.

Following the 7 day Feast of Tabernacles, they were to remain in Jerusalem for one more festival day - a “sabbath of rest.” For this Feast of the Eighth Day, the last Feast of the year, they were no longer required to “dwell in booths” (Leviticus 23:36-39; Numbers 29:35; Nehemiah 8:18).

- They NO LONGER DWELT IN BOOTHS! -

FULFILLMENT: We will no longer live in temporary dwellings. We will no longer be pilgrims or wanderers. We will return to our forever inheritance “in the land.

At the 8th Day, WE WILL BE HOME!

THE SEVEN YEAR PLANTING CYCLE

Leviticus 25:4 “But in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the LORD. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard.”

Israel was to sow the land for six years (Leviticus 25:2-7, 20-22).

The seventh year was to be a “rest for the land.”

They were to sow again, and gather in the harvest - in the eighth year (Leviticus 25:22).

FULFILLMENT:

The Gospel will not be “sown,” and there will be no “harvest” of souls won during the sabbath (7th) millennium.

The Gospel will again be “sown,” and there will again be a “harvest” of souls for the kingdom, during the 8th millennium.

THE JUBILEE - A SPECIAL YEAR (Leviticus 25:8-17)

The Jubilee ram’s horn was to be sounded on the Day of Atonement,

in the 7th month, of the (sabbatical) 7th year - the 49th year (Lev 25:9).

The 7th trumpet of Revelation (11:15-18) heralds the Glorious Return. Paul believed that he would be raised from death “at the last trump” (1 Cor 15:52). We do not know if Paul was referring to a “trumpet”sounded by the 7th angel of Revelation, or to the sounding of a shofar (ram’s horn) - or perhaps both.

If Paul was indeed referring to the last shofar blast of the ceremonial year - that blast would be sounded on The Day of Atonement, at the moment when the high priest entered the Most Holy Place. That blast would announce BOTH judgment and Jubilee.

Jubilee began half way through the 49th year – but it is called “the fiftieth year.” The Jubilee was NOT the first year of another 7 year cycle. It was a special inserted year, between the cycles of 49 years (7 x 7yrs).

Each 49th year was cut short by 5 months and 20 days. Concerning the last terrible “time of trouble” - the “time of Jacob’s trouble - Jesus said, “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened(Matthew 24:22, Mark 13:20 NIV).

Will this be the fulfillment of the Jubilee time prophecy?

The fact that the seven-sevens was cut short is very significant! If the earth does “reel to and fro” (Isa 24:18-20) and is “moved out of its place” (Isa 24:19), then a tilt of 23.5 degrees would “cut short” the year, changing Spring to Fall, or vice versa. If the event occurs on Nissan 10 in the Spring - it will move the calendar forward by six months - to Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) - Judgment Day. In the story of the Exodus, plagues were in the land of Egypt leading up to Nissan 10. And plagues will be on the earth leading up to the Glorious Return.

After forty years of wandering in the wilderness, Joshua led Israel across the Jordan, into the promised land on the 10th day of Nissan (Joshua 4:19). This is very significant! The LORD held back the Jordan in flood, allowing Israel to pass over (Jos 3:15-16). I see a TYPE (a prophecy) of Yeshua (Jesus) leading His Israel across the sky (Rev 6:14). Joshua “circumcised the people” just after they crossed the Jordan. Yeshua will circumcise His redeemed Israel. The old “flesh” will be gone. We will receive the new “spiritual body.”

FULFILLMENT of THE JUBILEE

Exactly how the Jubilee will be fulfilled - we do not know. (There is no record that Israel ever kept a Jubilee.) The Jubilee may begin on the day that Jesus Christ returns in glory. The Israelite prisoners of death will be set free. On the other hand, the Jubilee may begin half way through the 7th (sabbath) millennium. Then Israel redeemed will return to her “inheritance in the land” (Lev 25:10). Perhaps both are true. Christ our King will return to His inheritance. His loyal priests will build Ezekiel’s temple, and then begin to celebrate the Feasts of the LORD.

NOTE: The first feast celebrated by the captives who returned to the land from captivity in Babylon, was the Feast of Tabernacles (Ezra 3:4). Very interesting - a man named “Joshua” (Yeshua) led out in building the Altar. This was a TYPE!

Hebrew (Israelite) debt servants were to be set free at the Jubilee, even if they had not yet served six years to pay off their debt (Lev 25:40). Each Israelite was to return to his inheritance in the land and to his family (Lev 25:10). In the fulfillment, Christ will inherit. He has fully paid the debt. We will be “heirs with Him” (Romans 8:17).

SERVANTS AND SLAVES

Deuteronomy 15:12-14 “If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him [or her] go free from you.”

A Hebrew debt “servant” to another Hebrew was to be free after 6 years of service (Exo 21:2, Jer 34:14), OR at the Jubilee (Lev 25:40) - whichever came first.

He was not to be sold to another as a slave.

SYMBOLISM: The redeemed of Israel will be “set free” after 6000 years,

when Yeshua (Jesus) returns at the beginning of the 7th millennium.

A Hebrew debt slave to a non-Hebrew, could be redeemed for money by a “near-kinsman.”

The price was determined by the time remaining to the Jubilee. He or she was to be freed by the “new” Hebrew master at the Jubilee (Lev 25:54).

SYMBOLISM: Our “near-kinsman,” [Yeshua] has paid the redemption price for us. He will set us free at His Glorious Return - which will mark the start of the Jubilee.

Non-Hebrew slaves were NOT set free at the Jubilee. Those who refuse Christ are not “grafted in” to Israel. Satan is their “master.” They will not be set free when Christ returns.

Paul wrote, “You are bond-servants of the one you obey” (Rom 6:16). Moses is called the “bond-servant” of God. The Apostle Paul referred to himself as “a bond-servant” of Jesus Christ, as did James, Peter, and Jude. Most significant, Jesus “took the form of a bond-servant” (Rom 1:1, 1Cor 7:22-23, Titus 1:1, Ja 1:1, 2Pet 1:1, Jude 1:1, Rev 15:3, Phil 2:7). All were speaking in the language of Torah Covenant Law.

THE PROPHECY OF HOSEA 6:1-2

 “Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us;

He has stricken, but He will bind us up.

After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up,

That we may live in His sight.”

Two days from the first day is the third day. The resurrection of Yeshua on “the third day,” did indeed “revive” His disciples. But I believe there is more to this prophecy. Two prophetic days (2000 years) from His death - He will revive us! This is the resurrection at the Glorious Return. The third prophetic “day” from His death, will be the 7th millennium. During the 7th millennium we will complete our consecration. Then, at the 8th millennium, He will “raise us up” to be priests who will “rule the nations.”

THE PROPHECY OF THE “FOUR DAYS”

Exodus 12:1-6 The Passover Lamb was “chosen” on the 10th day of the first month

    - and sacrificed 4 days later, on the 14th day of Nisan.

Yeshua was “chosen” when Adam sinned, 4000 years (4 days) before the Cross.

THE TIMING OF THE RESURRECTION

Leviticus 23:15-16 “You shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the LORD. . . . . (v21) On the same day, you are to call a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work; this is a permanent regulation through all your generations, no matter where you live.”

This is the Feast of Pentecost.

The Septuagint says “the next day of the Sabbaths” (plural).

In the year of fulfillment, the First Day of Unleavened Bread fell on a 7th Day Sabbath. It was a high sabbath - a double sabbath. Christ rose the next morning at dawn on the Feast of Firstfruits. He was “the firstfruits of those who slept.”

Christ is the firstfruits (1Cor 15:20-23). He was resurrected and ascended to present Himself as the Firstfruits offering, along with the Spring harvest of those resurrected on that same day

(Matthew 27:50-53).

From The Feast of Firstfruits to Pentecost - count 50 days (The Omer).

7x7 = 49 + 1 = the 50th day - from the Firstfruits.

If you start with the “day after the Sabbaths” (a Sunday), then Pentecost always falls on a Sunday (the 50th day). I agree with the Sadducees on this one - that the Feast of Firstfruits always fell on a Sunday - making it an 8th day.

In the beginning the LORD finished His work in 6 days and rested the 7th day. Four thousand years later, Yeshua “finished” His work on the 6th day (Friday).

He “rested” the 7th day (Sabbath).

He was raised the 8th day (the first day of the next week), and went back to work.

(See Genesis 2:1-2, Exodus 20:11, John 17:4, and John 19:30.)

A REVIEW

With the LORD one day is as a thousand years,

and a thousand years is as a day (2Peter 3:8).

The 8th prophetic “day” will be the 8th millennium.

PROPHECY: The firstborn were presented to the LORD - on the 8th day.

FULFILLMENT: Christ will present Israel redeemed to His Father - at the 8th millennium.

Israel is the LORD’s firstborn (Exodus 4:22).

PROPHECY: Every Israelite male was circumcised - on the 8th day.

FULFILLMENT: Israel redeemed will be perfectly circumcised in heart

                                                                               at the 8th millennium.

PROPHECY: Healed lepers were anointed and then declared clean - on the 8th day.    FULFILLMENT: We who are lepers (because of our sin),

are anointed with His blood and His spirit.

We will be fully and finally clean - at the 8th millennium.

PROPHECY: Priests were consecrated for 7 days. They began to serve on the 8th day.

FULFILLMENT: The “priests of God and of Christ” (Revelation 20:6)

will be ready to serve - at the 8th millennium.

PROPHECY:  The same anointing was applied to both lepers and priests.

FULFILLMENT: We who are lepers because of our sin -

will become priests - at the 8th millennium.

PROPHECY: All who had touched death,

and were cleansed by the ashes of the red heifer, were declared clean - at the 8th day.

FULFILLMENT: We who have touched death, and are cleansed by the death of Christ,

will be declared fully clean - at the 8th millennium.

PROPHECY: The Tabernacle and later the Temple, were consecrated for 7 days.

Each was declared clean and ready for service - on the 8th day.

FULFILLMENT: Ezekiel’s Temple will be ready for service - at the 8th millennium.

TYPE: Nadab and Abihu (consecrated priests of Yahweh) “offered strange fire”

and were consumed by the “fire” of God - on the 8th day (Lev. Cpt 10).

FULFILLMENT: All those who offer false worship to God,

will be consumed by the “fire of God” - at the 8th millennium.

TYPE: David ruled over Judah for 7 years and 6 months (2Kings 2:11).

He became king over united Israel - in the 8th year.

FULFILLMENT: Jesus Christ will become king over united Israel/Judah -

                                                                             in the 8th millennium.

NATURE itself proclaims The 8th Day.

The last note of a musical scale, is the 8th note.

It is also the first note of the next scale.

The 8th millennium will see the last of sin, and the start of eternity.

There are just too many 8s to ignore!

The prophecies are one!

I believe it is time we seriously consider the prophecy of the 8th day.

We pray this study will prove a blessing.
